Juan Pablo Garcia Silva Perez, is the Business Development Partner for North Central BC at Sun Life. He has been with Sun Life for almost a year, starting as an advisor before taking on his current role in January 2022.

Juan Pablo Garcia Silva Perez, is the Business Development Partner for North Central BC at Sun Life, a role he assumed in January 2022 after starting with the company as an advisor.

Prior to joining Sun Life, Juan traveled across Canada working in the food service industry managing restaurants. He brings this experience of operational leadership to his role at Sun Life, where he oversees advisor development and growth in the region. Juan is passionate about cultivating a sustainable business through mentorship and culture development while investing in new advisors. Under his leadership, he aims to create a pipeline where senior advisors can grow by supporting the next generation of financial professionals. In his spare time, Juan is completing his MBA degree. He enjoys applying the strategic skills and knowledge gained from his studies directly to his work developing Sun Life's presence in North Central BC. Born in Mexico, Juan came to Canada as a youth exchange student in his early teens. He is proud to now call Canada home and help clients achieve their financial goals through Sun Life.

Jeff Nason has been in the financial services industry for over 10 years and specializes in working with advisors and their clients on implementing financial solutions tailored to their situations. Jeff entered the industry as an IIROC broker selling individual stocks and bonds to clients. He then moved to a Sales Manager role where he was responsible for recruiting, training, MFDA trade review, and joint field work with advisors. Most recently prior to rejoining Sun Life Jeff has been a large case life insurance wholesaler supporting advisors across all distribution channels and their clients in positioning, understanding, and implementing complex life insurance solutions. Jeff works extensively with corporate owners, their accountants, and lawyers to identify potential gaps in their current plans and provide a roadmap for closing those gaps. He has a deep understanding of competitive wealth and insurance products. Jeff has been a speaker at many industry events including the national Advocis school in Kelowna. He volunteers his time with Financial Planning Canada, Junior Achievement of BC, and Scouts Canada. Jeff holds his Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, his EPC, CHS, CLU, MFA-P and is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). Outside of work, you can find Jeff camping, canoeing, hiking, and travelling with his family.

Sheila is a seasoned Advisor Recruitment Consultant at Sun Life with over 17 years of experience in the finance industry. Her career journey at Sun Life has taken her through multiple progressing roles- from working directly with clients as an advisor, onboarding new advisors and staff, to becoming a key player in advisor recruitment. This diverse background gives her a unique and valuable perspective on the qualities needed for success in today’s advisory landscape. She takes pride in helping build advisory teams that reflect Sun Life’s values and client-first philosophy.

Sheila holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She also completed a Business Management Certificate at Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, further enhancing her leadership and strategic skills.

Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, reading and spending time with her two active frenchies, Rosie and Jack. Whether she’s exploring new places or enjoying time at home, she brings curiosity, warmth and energy to all she does.
