Gerry O’Brien is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER with over 36 years of experience as an advisor. He focuses on helping Clients achieve their goals with a holistic approach to planning which includes wealth creation and management, estate planning, along with creative solutions to help maximize value to Clients in individual and business planning. His extensive knowledge is dedicated to the success of the Clients he works with. 

Beyond his work attributes, Gerry enjoys spending time at his cabin with his family including his dog, he loves a game of golf and playing, as well as coaching, soccer.

Michael is a dedicated Sun Life advisor with 6 years of industry experience. Michael Grew up in the industry along side his father Gerry O’Brien who has been with Sun Life for 36 years. With a passion for helping Clients achieve their financial goals. Michael has consistently demonstrated exceptional knowledge and commitment to excellence in the financial services industry.

A proud graduate of Memorial University with a degree in business, Michael holds both an insurance and wealth license. Michael is currently working toward finalizing his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER designation, further enhancing his ability to provide sound advice. Michael also spent the better part of his university years before entering the business shadowing Gerry. This allowed him exposure to higher level planning meetings at a young age.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys playing soccer with Holy Cross in the top level Provincial league, Challenge Cup. Spending quality time with his partner Megan and their two huskies, Stanley and Blue. With a strong focus on both professional growth and personal well-being, Michael remains committed to balancing success in all areas of life.

DJ Clarke is a dedicated associate advisor who helps Clients build a clear and confident path towards their financial goals. Whether planning for a first home or retirement, growing investments or navigating major life changes, he provides personalized strategies. His approach is rooted in trust, transparency and a genuine commitment to a Client’s success. 

When not helping Clients secure their financial future, DJ is spending time with his fiancée, Kiera, or playing ball with his two dogs Harper and Dobby.

I started with O’Brien and Associates as a Memorial University work-term student 4 years ago. After school, I joined Sun Life as an Advisor where I was able to gain experience helping young professionals start their financial roadmap. I am happy to be back joining the O’Brien team in a new role. Working in a place that is so driven towards maintaining such a high standard of Client service is what keeps me so motivated. 

When I am not working you will find me keeping active in the gym or cooking new recipes to share with my family and friends.

Chantelle Lynch, our supportive office manager, is dedicated to ensuring a fair and healthy workplace where team members feel appreciated and validated. Her commitment to fostering a positive and efficient workplace is the foundation of her role, and valuable to providing the best customer service. 

When not working, Chantelle is a dedicated to her family and rescue dog Ozzie. She loves to volunteer with animal rescue, enjoys reading and being active outside.

I love being a part of the O’Brien and Associates team since June 2022. My role is defined as a Client Service Assistant. While performing my role, I strive to deliver exceptional customer service to Clients and I really enjoy helping Clients to ensure they receive quality service with their financial decisions. I have many years of office experience in different fields which gives me the knowledge and experience to help with Clients needs. I also enjoy providing assistance to my co-worker and am always there to lend a helping hand. A collaborative work environment is essential to success for a business!

On a personal note, outside of work I love going for walks with my dogs and spending time with them. I also really enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

I have been with O’Brien and Associates since June of 2024. I bring over 30 yrs of both administration and Client care experience . I am proud to work alongside like minded professionals who strive to follow in the success of Clients and work diligently together to help them achieve these financial goals . I thrive in a fast paced and positive work culture. In my spare time I love to refinish wooden furniture and crafting and hone in on my creative side .

I’ve been part of the O’Brien and Associates team since 2022 as a Licensed Service Associate. I am dedicated to helping people navigate their needs and achieve their goals. My background in business equips me with the skills to provide effective support and solutions. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in nature and camping with my fiancé, along with my dog and cat, which keeps me grounded and inspired. I believe that fostering positive relationships is key to success, both personally and professionally.

I am registered to sell Mutual Funds. I started working with BMO in 2018 where I have deepened my understanding of the financial sector. Recently, I transitioned to O'Brien and Associates, where I am excited to continue my professional growth and provide exceptional service to Clients. In my spare time, I enjoy running during the summer months and skating in the winter, which allows me to maintain an active lifestyle and enjoy the outdoors. Balancing my professional and personal interests is important to me, and I strive to bring that same balance to my work, helping Clients with care and dedication.

In the short time that I have been with O’Brien and Associates, I have seen tremendous strides in Client service and quality care. It has been an honour to work beside people who care so much about Clients and helping them to achieve their goals. Seeing this has

inspired me to study for my mutual fund registration so that I can provide a greater level of service to Clients as well.

When I’m not working or studying, you’ll often catch me crafting something new, either through knitting, crocheting or quilting, or just hanging out with my dog.
