As an Advisor with Sun Life since 2014, I discovered a passion for helping Clients achieve their financial goals. Over that time, I recognized the importance of how education could better position me to provide financial planning advice. As such, I attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Chartered Investment Manager, Chartered Life Underwriter®, Certified Health Insurance Specialist™ and The Fellow of CSI designations.

Not only do I believe in my own education, I also believe in educating Clients. I want them to fully understand the financial planning journey. This journey begins by helping discover their ideal future lifestyle. Next, I work to better understand their current lifestyle. Finally, I design a plan that attempts to bridge the gap between where they are today, and where they want to be in the future. Once the plan is developed, I feel it’s important to tweak it occasionally to account for unforeseen life changes. 

When I’m not working with Clients, Jake and I enjoy travelling the world, exploring new cultures and cuisine. 

Since I started working in the financial services industry in 2015, I have successfully attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER®, Trust and Estate Practitioner and Chartered Life Underwriter® designations.

These designations have positioned me to identify the importance of planning when helping Clients achieve their financial objectives. Whether I am working with individuals, families, or business owners, I apply the same planning principals. First understanding the Client’s goals, then getting a picture of what the Client’s current life position looks like. Finally, suggesting strategies and concepts to put those Clients on a path to one day realize those goals. I recognize that financial planning is not a “one size fits all” process. That’s why I like to revisit the plan regularly. This helps to identify any changes in the Client’s life, and adapt the plan to account for these changes. 

As a way to unwind, I enjoy outdoor activities such as biking, snowboarding, hockey, and travelling with my wife Victoria

Being in the financial services industry since 1993, I have taken great pride in educating countless Clients. By sharing this knowledge, I have witnessed Clients make the best choices to align with their unique goals. I am an open, approachable person who appreciates instilling knowledge on Clients to make the right decisions for their family. In addition to helping individuals, my prior career of 22 years in corporate business management is well suited to working with business owners. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my wife, 3 daughters, and four grandchildren. I am also passionate about competitive sailing, which I’ve done since the age of 7, and enjoy fly fishing and woodworking.

Having been involved in various aspects of financial services since 2017, I understand the fundamentals of finance. Whether that is personal finance, wealth management or investment services, I’m here to help Clients reach their goals. In my role, I conduct Client meetings, offer wealth and investment services and take care of administrative and Client service.

In simple words, I enjoy helping people. I enjoy being there for Clients throughout their lives, in the good times and the bad. I believe it’s never too early to start thinking about your future. If you’re not sure where to start, that’s where I can guide, educate and make recommendations.

I joined Stairway Financial Solutions in 2021, as an Administrative Assistant. In my role, I guide Clients through the implementation and execution of their financial roadmaps. This includes the processing of paperwork and answering any questions they may have from an administrative perspective on both the wealth and insurance side. I do my best to go above and beyond to ensure the Client feels comfortable through each Step.

Prior to joining Stairway Financial Solutions, I had a background in accounting which helped develop my attention to detail. This has been a huge asset in making sure the Client’s paperwork is processed without delays and reports are accurately produced.

When I am not working I enjoy spending quality time with my family, and I am fluent in both English and Spanish.

I began working at Stairway as a dual licensed service associate in June 2024 after receiving my Business Admin degree, and a diploma in Financial Services. My role is to prepare advisors' files for Client review meetings, making sure all relevant documents are on hand. Once the meeting is complete, I do post meeting processes such as opening accounts, and making agreed upon trades.

I feel it is important to understand Clients' financial positions and to identify their future goals. By doing this, we are able to select investment strategies that align with those goals, and their level of risk.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my two young boys. I also enjoy reading, travelling, and learning new languages. I am fluent in English, Spanish and I’m currently learning French. 

After over 20 years of working in the banking industry I opted to make a career change. In 2017 I joined Stairway Financial as their executive administrative assistant. I believe my personality traits of being caring, warm and open, are perfectly suited to the role. In addition to booking meetings between Clients and advisors, I make the effort to get to know the Clients personally. Generating a relationship with the Clients makes them feel more at ease, and they often come to me with questions. If I can't answer their questions, I will make sure I find someone who can.

In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, painting, reading and volunteering in my community, helping families in need with food insecurities.
