With over 23 years of experience at Sun Life and more than two decades as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®), Corey focuses on retirement planning that helps ensure your money doesn’t outlive you. He helps Clients transition confidently into retirement by minimizing taxes both approaching and throughout the retirement years. His goal is to ensure lasting financial security while maximizing estate value for your loved ones, heirs, or charitable causes that matter most to you.

Corey believes retirement should be a time of fulfillment, not financial uncertainty. Through a personalized strategic and holistic approach, he helps Clients preserve wealth, reduce tax burdens and leave meaningful legacies.

When he is not working with Clients, you’ll likely find Corey on the golf course, at the cottage with his dog Paisley, or enjoying a live music concert.

Marissa brings a strong analytical foundation and attention to detail to her role as Service Associate to Corey Hughes. Registered to sell mutual funds and currently working towards her insurance license, Marissa is passionate about helping Clients feel informed, empowered and supported in their financial journey.

Marissa’s scientific background taught her to think critically, communicate clearly and approach challenges with curiosity – she now utilizes these skills to help Clients navigate the world of mutual funds and long-term planning. She believes investing doesn’t have to be intimidating and focuses on making the process approachable and practical for everyday investors.

Outside of work, Marissa enjoys playing hockey, trying out various new sports, and staying active wherever she can. She has a love for travelling and discovering new places, always looking for her next adventure. Marissa values quality time spent with her spouse and dog Belle, whether relaxing at home or enjoying the outdoors together. In her spare time, she enjoys capturing the beauty of nature through photography, reflecting her curiosity, attention to detail and appreciation for the world around her.

With over 20 years of experience Brian brings a Client focused approach and strong industry knowledge to his role as an associate advisor to Corey Hughes. Brian is enthusiastic about helping Clients work toward their financial goals, he is committed to providing thoughtful guidance, personalized support, and exceptional Client experience every step of the way.

Brian believes successful financial guidance starts with understanding each Client’s unique goals and takes pride in building lasting relationships built on trust, communication, and reliability.

When Brian is not working with Clients, you will often find him staying active on the tennis court, spending quality time with his wife Mirtha and family, or making lasting memories with his 14 grandchildren.
