I joined Sun Life in 2013, following two decades of dedicated service with one of Nova Scotia's largest Property and Casualty Insurance Brokers. As the Director of Information Technology, my keen analytical skills were instrumental in navigating complex landscapes. However, I felt compelled to merge these abilities with my passion for assisting others. I took on the role of a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®), a decision I am immensely proud of.

In 2015, during the peak of the oil and gas crisis, my family relocated to Alberta. Settling in Calgary, I was determined to empower the hard-working individuals of the region with financial solutions they could trust.

Above all, nurturing Client relationships remains my paramount focus. I deeply value the trust Clients place in me, and I am committed to listening intently to their aspirations, offering clarity in even the most intricate financial scenarios. My approach is centered on ensuring Clients comprehend their options fully, enabling them to make well-informed decisions that align with their goals and aspirations.

My wife and I have three children and we live in Cochrane, Alberta. In my free time, I am an avid geocacher and e-biker; Kim and I offer Canadian hospitality to new international students with Kim teaching English as a Second Language.

Since 2003, I've immersed myself in various facets of finance, spanning investments, insurance, banking, risk management, debt consolidation, and higher education. This diverse background has afforded me a comprehensive understanding of the significance of personalized financial strategies.

After joining Sun Life in 2020, I translated my wealth of knowledge into action, guiding Clients along their financial journeys. My aptitude for empathizing and listening to Clients, helps to develop financial solutions aligned to help achieve their goals. 

As a former professor, I enjoy educating Clients on their options, so they understand where their money is going and why. They appreciate my personable, patient approach and the peace of mind that comes with it.

As a husband and father of two energetic children, I recognize the importance of health and financial well-being. Away from the office, I enjoy playing tennis and traveling. I also like to contribute to Workshops for new Canadian immigrants, encouraging and supporting them throughout this transition period.

Since early 2021, I've had the pleasure of being an integral part of the McCulloch Financial Solutions team. Joining this dedicated group has felt like a natural fit, as we all share a common goal of helping others achieve their financial aspirations.

In 2020, my family and I made the exciting move from Calgary to Squamish, BC. Living here has been a dream come true, as we now have easy access to all the hiking, rock climbing, and outdoor family adventures that we could ever wish for. It's a joy to immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature and create lasting memories together.

In August 2021, I proudly joined Ian's team as an administrative professional. Over the years, I've gained extensive experience across diverse industries, including investments, public practice accounting, and the information technology sector.

I worked for a reputable financial services firm for several years as well as an accounting firm for seven years. My experience has given me the ability to effectively help Clients. My focus is on scheduling appointments and working through administrative issues and insurance requests. 

I'm a true Alberta native, having briefly ventured to Peachland, BC, for about a year. However, my heart remained in Calgary, so I made my way back home. I graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 2005, further solidifying my roots in the region. In my spare time, my husband and I camp out in the Kootenay Valley at my family's acreage. We enjoy playing video games and doing abstract "acrylic paint pour" art. We have two kitties who we love to bits.

I have been an administrative professional for most of my career. I have had the chance to work in various industries including corporate law and with non-profit organizations. Throughout my experiences, I’ve always enjoyed interacting with Clients and providing varying levels of customer service.

I joined the team at McCulloch Financial Solutions in 2023. Since then, I have highly valued being part of a team that values and invests in Clients. I enjoy being able to use my knowledge and understanding to assist both Clients and my team.

I’m originally from Ontario. While I love making trips back in the summer to see family, the mountains and Alberta culture have a special place in my heart. I’ve been happily settled and enjoying mountain views in the Calgary area for almost ten years. I spend much of my spare time investing in my community, singing, reading, and chasing sunsets.

I joined the team in May 2024 as a Service Associate.

With a commitment to exceptional Client service, I ensure all documents are prepared for meetings and track transactions for Client accounts, maintaining meticulous organization. As a point of contact, I am here to assist with any questions regarding trades, statements, account transfers, forms, or information about Sun Life's products and services.

Originally from Nova Scotia, my career journey began there before I relocated to Alberta. I joined Sun Life in 2014 and have since obtained both my Life Insurance and Mutual Funds licenses. Currently, I am also in the process of completing my QAFP certification, further enhancing my expertise and ability to serve Clients effectively.

Outside of work, I cherish spending time with my husband and daughter. Whether we're hiking in Alberta or enjoying annual vacations by the ocean on the East Coast, family time is always a priority.
