I’m proud to announce that I have successfully completed my Artificial Intelligence certification with Brainstation!
What does a Financial Advisor need an AI certification for? The answer is simple: I have a responsibility to my clients and community to continue learning. My most important philosophy, “Kaizen” (continuous improvement), depends on it. As a business owner, it’s also clear to me that the generative AI impact on productivity (and profitability) is revolutionary.
In a short period, we learned many technical concepts like Machine Learning, Neural Networks, and Natural Language Processing, but one key lesson changed the way I view generative AI: Poor input = Poor output. The most powerful AI agents available today are still far from being 100% autonomous. When given autonomy, they often make mistakes or fabricate information. In most cases, a human must intervene to provide new data, change the parameters, or finish what it started. Perhaps that’s a good thing. Innovation requires creativity from the soul, and there’s a limit to how that can be interpreted by data.
No one knows exactly what the future holds, but today, AI tools are only as powerful as the humans wielding them, and this cohort proved that. I had the honour of meeting true geniuses and listening to some incredible ideas.
