Kevin Williams

I have been a Sun Life Financial advisor since 1984 when I first started with Mutual Life of Canada. (Mutual Life changed its name to Clarica before becoming part of Sun Life Financial). I specialize in the family and small business markets. Since then I attained my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation in 1999, my Registered Health Underwriter designation in 2005 and my Chartered Life Underwriter designation in 2012.

As a leader in my financial centre for many years, I've qualified for numerous company conventions and awards. I have been a member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) since 1993 - an international, independent association representing the world's best sales professionals in the life insurance-based, financial services industry. It is my most treasured association, consisting of a worldwide organization of professionals who meet annually. I have fostered self-improvement ideas, learned new products and gained an appreciation of my clientele that has helped me in many ways.

I am also involved in my local community and volunteer by sitting on the board for the United Way of SouthEastern NB. It creates long-term, sustainable change; moving people from poverty to possibility, creating strong communities, and ensuring that kids be all that kids can be.

In my spare time, I like to play recreational hockey in winter, golf in summer, go hunting in the fall and travel with my wife. I have two grown children, a daughter and a son.

Shannon Tatlock

Shannon started in this business, after leaving a very successful career teaching High School. She decided to make the switch to work Kevin R Williams Financial Services as an Associate Advisor in August 2011 and has not looked back. She attained her Life and Mutual Fund license before December 2011 and then immediately jumped in to working towards her CFP.

Through all of this, she volunteers her time going back to high school to teach students about Investments and Insurance and considers this one of her greatest joys. In June 2017, she wrote and passed her final CFP exam, all while on maternity leave with her first child. In June 2020, she wrote and passed her CLU exam and in 2021, she finished the Responsible Investing Specialist designation. She was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees for The Institute, the leading designation body in Canada for financial services practitioners in the specialty areas of Advanced Estate, Wealth Transfer, and Living Benefits.

Since coming in to Kevin R Williams Financial, she has not only helped grow the business, working with many of the current clients on their wealth portfolios and financial plans, but she has also brought in many of her own clients. Her desire is for people to understand their investments and to play a part in managing their own wealth. Shannon’s goal is to empower and engage her clients to take a role in their wealth management and their financial future.
