About

I was raised in Lethbridge. Before joining Sun Life Financial in 2004, I spent many years working in small businesses including a family business. My experience in the small business sector helps me when working with other business owners in Southern Alberta. As the CEO, I enjoy managing a large team of people in the ever changing financial services industry.

I am passionate when it comes to helping Clients grow and protect their financial resources. I see too many Canadians not receiving the guidance they need to achieve lifetime financial security.

My son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of seven. Since then, I have become active in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). I enjoy helping to organize the annual JDRF Walk to cure Diabetes. The great work this organization does and their amazing research to find a cure constantly amazes me.

I feel blessed to be married to Trish, the love of my life for 25 years. Together, we have two wonderful kids. We enjoy having a family meal together at the end of the day.

As an advisor for over 20 years, I have the experience to help you reach your goals. I specialize in working with farmers, small business owners and families.

I use a holistic approach when advising Clients. I believe that without a defensive approach to your finances, there can't be an offense.

I am passionate about providing consistent advice to help Clients become better prepared for potential financial ups and downs. I have seen, first hand with family members, the impact of not having a long term plan in place. I get great satisfaction from knowing that Clients trust my recommendations to effectively shape not only their own future, but future generations as well.

In my spare time I enjoy volunteering within the community. I am currently serving as a member of the board for the Southern Alberta Art Gallery.

I grew up on my family’s farm about 20 minutes west of Lethbridge. I developed an appreciation for southern Alberta farming and livestock communities while enjoying as many hours outdoors as possible. I helped on the family farm and had many opportunities for growth in both education and athletics. I am a graduate of the University of Lethbridge and proud to call this great city home.

Prior to joining the team in 2021, I worked as an advisor with another investment firm for two years. I had the privilege of working beside and learning from some of the best financial minds in the industry. I’m proud to be part of a team that provides holistic advice to help Clients achieve financial success.

I have a passion for helping families, business owners, and those in the farming community. Life is not a static event. That’s why I believe in making sure your money and your plan for the future aren’t static either. I provide Clients with goals driven financial strategies. I also give clarity to their overall financial picture by tailoring a plan to their needs. This means that I help you plan for today and tomorrow while helping protect what is important to you along the way.  

As an Associate Advisor, I enjoy helping people understand the complexities of finance. I am exceptionally strong in breaking down complex financial situations so that Clients can understand them.

My wife and I farmed and owned several businesses for close to 25 years. Thanks to this, I have a lot of experience in business ownership and have a solid work ethic. I specialize in helping other business owners and farmers. I can help you by providing tax-efficient investment strategies and building succession plans to help fulfill your long-term goals.

Outside of work, my wife and I love to hike, snowshoe and enjoy the outdoors. I am an avid car guy and have completed the rebuild on two classic cards. 

I joined Sun Life Financial in 2005. With over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, I bring a wealth of knowledge to our business. I work in our Blairmore office. I’ve completed a variety of financial planning courses throughout my career. I’ve earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) designation. I live in the Crowsnest Pass with my husband and daughter. 

After finishing my studies at the University of Lethbridge, and gaining some experience in the financial industry, I joined the team in 2020. I specialize in working with young families or individuals looking to save money and protect their future. My goal is to help people feel comfortable and confident about their financial wellbeing through all stages of life. Together, we will work towards achieving your short-term and long-term goals.

In 2010 I became fluent in Spanish. I have used this a lot throughout my personal and professional life. 

I joined LKA Financial in 2013 after 11 years in the banking industry. I started in the asset administration department and led that team for seven years. In 2021 I moved into the Operations/HR role.

Lethbridge has been my home since 1983. I enjoy the warm summers and mild winters that southern Alberta has to offer. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking for my family and friends by trying out new recipes. I also enjoy relaxing with a good book or spending time with my two dogs and cat.  

Before joining the team, I worked in the banking industry for 11 years. I lead the asset administration department. I’m dedicated to providing the best customer service possible.

I am a proud mom to my son. I try to focus my time and energy on him. We have lots of family in British Columbia and spend our time together camping, motor biking and boating. I also enjoy gardening and interior decorating. 

I have enjoyed being the Booking Administrator with LKA Financial for over 17 years. I enjoy working with people and take pride in helping take care of Client’s needs. I am the first point of contact, and I want to make sure everyone has a positive experience. I really enjoy my work, and feel fortunate to work with a fantastic team. 

When I’m not working, my passions are animals, health, nutrition and my family. I enjoy spending time with my two dogs and three cats - I try to squeeze in time for my husband as well. I also have a Nutritional Consulting certification and did a certificate program in Plant Based Nutrition. I am plant based and enjoy learning about the health benefits of this lifestyle, for the planet and myself. 

I grew up on a mixed cattle and grain farm in southern Alberta. After many years of working in veterinary clinics, I changed directions. I’ve been working in the financial and accounting department with the LKA Financial team since 2011.

In my spare time, my husband and I enjoy getting involved in outdoor activities such as camping, e-biking and kayaking. I'm a self-proclaimed NFL fanatic, aspiring crazy cat lady (I have some pretty stiff competition here at LKA), Disney devotee and duffer golfer.
