When it comes to planning for your financial future, you want to work with someone you can trust. I have been an advisor since 1994. The Clients I work with are made up of business owners, professionals and families. Several of the families are now third generation Clients. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®), I provide solutions from basic needs to more complex financial planning issues. Balancing family and work has always been important to me. Having my wife and son join my team has been an added pleasure. Our assistant Sandra is a long time friend and adds value to our family business. Together we bring Clients a trusted professional experience.

Mark specializes in working with professionals and young families, helping them navigate their personal finances in a simple, easy to understand way. Having a young family of his own, Mark understands the importance enjoying today while also planning for the future. His educational approach helps improve client’s financial literacy and allows them to make better decision financially for themselves and their families.

Mark worked as an independent advisor for 4 years prior to forming The O’Donnell Group with his parents in 2021. The forming of The O’Donnell Group gives clients peace of mind by having a known succession plan and ensuring they will continue to be serviced by someone they know and trust.

Mark holds his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP) designation which gives him the knowledge, skills, and experience to help his clients understand their financial situation and make informed financial decisions. Mark has a passion for the industry and was recently a CFP Mock Exam Writer for the upcoming CFP exam, providing the regulators with feedback on the questions for upcoming exams.

Away from the office, Mark enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and training for his next triathlon. After completing two marathons in 2022, he transitioned to the sport of triathlon and completed his first half-ironman in Mont-Tremblant in the summer of 2023. 

I started in the business as a Sun Life Long Term Care Insurance Specialist. With my professional designation as a Certified Health Insurance Specialist, I know the financial and emotional burdens families and business owners face when a health event happens. I will work with Clients to make sure they are prepared for the unexpected.

I started working with the team in April, 2012. I am happy to work on a team that always puts the Client first. When contacting our office, I am the first person to greet you. I love interacting with Clients and using my skills to help people with their financial futures.

Prior to joining the team, I worked in the banking industry, managing a medical office and running a successful clothing business. This experience has given me a strong administrative background which I use in my current role on a daily basis.

I take pride in helping Clients with friendly and efficient service. I joined the team in January 2022 as an office administrator. I enjoy working with a wonderful team everyday. I bring experience in banking and medical administration. I am here to assist you with all your administrative needs.
