Derrick Higgins

As an advisor, I’m passionate about helping people protect themselves from the unexpected and prospering financially. Education is important to me. That’s why I’m working to complete industry specific designations to give me even more expertise as an advisor.

Getting involved in my community is something I enjoy doing. I was a member of the Rotary Club of Truro for several years. I enjoyed contributing to the child and youth sectors of the club.

Stephen Bentley

Stephen has been with Sun Life for 32 years. He is moving to an Associate Advisor role as his first step toward retirement. Derrick and Stephen have worked closely for a number of years. When Stephen decided to take a step back it made sense for Derrick and Stephen to continue that relationship.

I was born and raised in Truro. Attended Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Settled down in Debert with my fiancé Autumn and our dog Benson. I’ve been coaching cheerleading for 7 years and have recently come out of retirement and am back in the sport I love! I enjoy spending my free time reading lots of books and spending time with friends and family.
